How to Mark a Licensed Code Snippet

Snippets from Stack Overflow, GitHub, or docs each have their own terms. Pasting them into a file in editor.clincoo.buzz does not remove that duty.

Read the license before copying

MIT or BSD files can usually be used if the copyright comment stays. Unlicensed code in someone else's repository is not public domain. Rewrite it in your own words and structure if the license is unclear.

Keep the comment above the function

Do not drop an SPDX or copyright block while cleaning up. One line is enough: source, author, and link to the original file. If you change the function, note that it is a derivative, not a full copy.

Separate Clincoo sample code

Examples in Clincoo docs are for learning in your project, not for resale as an unchanged template. A site you deploy from app.clincoo.buzz stays yours as long as third-party assets you pasted follow their licenses.

If unsure, ask the Clincoo AI assistant with the source link, not only the code without context.
